About this trip Illuminated Life Projects and Yoga Adventures are so excited to host our second yoga retreat at Château de La Napoule. In hosting and leading 13 retreats over the last nine years, Château de La Napoule is one of the most unique places that we have ever experienced. Daily meditation and yoga from the roof of the chateau high above the Bay of Cannes watching the sun rise over the water followed by coffee, tea, and a warm croissant ... Just another morning at the Château de La Napoule in the South of France. La Napoule is an adorable town right on the water 10 minutes by train from Cannes. Wandering this quaint little village - restaurants, cafes, and people become quickly familiar. The town has a low-key and relaxed vibe but is full of activity and life and surrounded by the natural beauty of the hills and the sea. 

A Day on the Retreat

An example of a day in the South of France might include a morning swim after yoga and breakfast followed by a day trip to the medieval art mecca of St. Paul de Vence and wander the same cobblestoned streets that Jean-Paul Sartre and Picasso walked. Or, take a boat ride to the glamorous Saint-Tropez and soak up some sun and fun and enjoy some of the best restaurants and shopping in the French Riviera. The evening could find us watching the sunset over the Mediterranean followed by a candlelight meditation and dinner at a local restaurant in the village.The South of France really is what "everything coming together" looks like ... And all of it beautiful. It seems to be overflowing with life - elegant and sophisticated and at the same time wild and earthy. 

History & Romance: Château de La Napoule

In the South of France in a tiny village along the sea sits a castle that overlooks the Bay of Cannes. Water laps up against the stone and rock of this inspired structure. This is a place where art is born, the wings of creation take flight, and the illuminated light of our dreams is eternal.  Château de La Napoule is experienced today as the aspiration of impassioned and gifted sculptor, Henry Clews. He and the love of his life, Marie, gave up all that was familiar and left America to design a new life in France. A life more befitting to their dreams. Erected from the stories, soil, and dust of 14th-century Roman ruins, hands of risk and hope formed the vision of a new life, a more authentic living experience, a different way. Henry and Marie created a world of art and love that casts a light into the future for all of us to appreciate, celebrate, and enjoy. Between two world wars and the rubble of history, this love story was born. This is what transformation looks like.  Come and celebrate yoga, meditation, food, art, history, and life on this gorgeous land by the water.

• Transport between La Napoule and the airport
• Alcohol
